What is an erectile dysfunction consultation?
An erectile dysfunction consultation is a confidential clinical assessment of difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is very common, affecting a large proportion of men at some point — and it is very treatable. Our online consultation lets you describe your symptoms and health history privately, without an awkward face-to-face conversation if you would rather avoid one. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers, considers whether there may be an underlying cause worth addressing, and decides whether treatment is safe and appropriate for you. Because ED can sometimes be an early warning sign of heart or circulation problems, the consultation also acts as a useful health check. Where treatment is suitable, it is dispatched discreetly to your door. Everything is handled with the privacy and respect the subject deserves.
How our online ED service works
- Confidential questionnaire. Tell us about your symptoms, general health and any medicines you take. It is private and takes only a few minutes.
- Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber assesses your information and considers the most suitable option.
- Discreet delivery. If treatment is approved, it arrives in plain, unbranded packaging by next-day delivery anywhere in England.
- Follow-up support. If your first treatment is not quite right, we can adjust the option or dose.
What treatments are available?
The most widely used ED treatments are tablets that improve blood flow to the penis, helping you get and keep an erection when sexually aroused. The best known are sildenafil and tadalafil. Sildenafil tends to work within about an hour and lasts a few hours; tadalafil can work for considerably longer, which some men prefer for spontaneity. Your prescriber will recommend the option most suited to your health and lifestyle. Our guide on sildenafil vs tadalafil explains the differences in plain English.
Is it safe?
ED tablets are well established and, when prescribed after a proper assessment, are safe for most men. They are not suitable for everyone — in particular, they must not be taken with nitrate medicines used for chest pain, and caution is needed with certain heart conditions and other medicines. This is precisely why a prescriber reviews your details before anything is supplied. It is also why where you buy matters: the MHRA seized roughly 19.5 million doses of unauthorised ED medicines between 2021 and 2025 and strongly advises buying only from UK-registered pharmacies. As a GPhC-registered pharmacy, we source every medicine through the regulated UK supply chain.
